Move all of the header files which are involved in modelling the LLVM IR into their new header subdirectory: include/llvm/IR. This matches the directory structure of lib, and begins to correct a long standing point of file layout clutter in LLVM. There are still more header files to move here, but I wanted to handle them in separate commits to make tracking what files make sense at each layer easier. The only really questionable files here are the target intrinsic tablegen files. But that's a battle I'd rather not fight today. I've updated both CMake and Makefile build systems (I think, and my tests think, but I may have missed something). I've also re-sorted the includes throughout the project. I'll be committing updates to Clang, DragonEgg, and Polly momentarily. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@171366 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

Use the new script to sort the includes of every file under lib. Sooooo many of these had incorrect or strange main module includes. I have manually inspected all of these, and fixed the main module include to be the nearest plausible thing I could find. If you own or care about any of these source files, I encourage you to take some time and check that these edits were sensible. I can't have broken anything (I strictly added headers, and reordered them, never removed), but they may not be the headers you'd really like to identify as containing the API being implemented. Many forward declarations and missing includes were added to a header files to allow them to parse cleanly when included first. The main module rule does in fact have its merits. =] git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@169131 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

Make MemoryBuiltins aware of TargetLibraryInfo. This disables malloc-specific optimization when -fno-builtin (or -ffreestanding) is specified. This has been a problem for a long time but became more severe with the recent memory builtin improvements. Since the memory builtin functions are used everywhere, this required passing TLI in many places. This means that functions that now have an optional TLI argument, like RecursivelyDeleteTriviallyDeadFunctions, won't remove dead mallocs anymore if the TLI argument is missing. I've updated most passes to do the right thing. Fixes PR13694 and probably others. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@162841 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

refactor the MemoryBuiltin analysis: - provide more extensive set of functions to detect library allocation functions (e.g., malloc, calloc, strdup, etc) - provide an API to compute the size and offset of an object pointed by Move a few clients (GVN, AA, instcombine, ...) to the new API. This implementation is a lot more aggressive than each of the custom implementations being replaced. Get rid of static constructors for pass registration. Instead, every pass exposes an initializeMyPassFunction(), which must be called in the pass's constructor. This function uses static dependency declarations to recursively initialize the pass's dependencies. Clients that only create passes through the createFooPass() APIs will require no changes. Clients that want to use the CommandLine options for passes will need to manually call the appropriate initialization functions in PassInitialization.h before parsing commandline arguments. I have tested this with all standard configurations of clang and llvm-gcc on Darwin. It is possible that there are problems with the static dependencies that will only be visible with non-standard options. If you encounter any crash in pass registration/creation, please send the testcase to me directly. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@116820 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

Begin adding static dependence information to passes, which will allow us to perform initialization without static constructors AND without explicit initialization by the client. Second installment of "BasicBlock operands to the back" changes. For InvokeInst now all arguments begin at op_begin(). The Callee, Cont and Fail are now faster to get by access relative to op_end(). This patch introduces some temporary uglyness in CallSite. Next I'll bring CallInst up to a similar scheme and then the uglyness will magically vanish. This patch also exposes all the reliance of the libraries on InvokeInst's operand ordering. I am thinking of taking care of that too. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@66920 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

Rather than marking all internal globals "Ref" when a readonly declaration is called, set a flag. This is faster and uses less memory. In theory it is less accurate, because before only those internal globals that were read by someone were being marked "Ref", but now all are. But in practice, thanks to other passes, all internal globals of the kind considered here will be both read and stored to: those only read will have been turned into constants, and those only stored to will have been deleted. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@56143 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

When analysing the callgraph, when one member of a SCC calls another then the analysis would drop to mod-ref because there is (usually) no function info for the callee yet; fix this. Integrate the readonly/readnone logic more deeply into alias analysis. This meant updating the API which now has versions of the getModRefBehavior, doesNotAccessMemory and onlyReadsMemory methods which take a callsite parameter. These should be used unless the callsite is not known, since in general they can do a better job than the versions that take a function. Also, users should no longer call the version of getModRefBehavior that takes both a function and a callsite. To reduce the chance of misuse it is now protected. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@44487 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

Change the callgraph representation to store the callsite along with the target CG node. This allows the inliner to properly update the callgraph when using the pruning inliner. The pruning inliner may not copy over all call sites from a callee to a caller, so the edges corresponding to those call sites should not be copied over either.
