PCI: Remove DEFINE_PCI_DEVICE_TABLE macro use We should prefer `struct pci_device_id` over `DEFINE_PCI_DEVICE_TABLE` to meet kernel coding style guidelines. This issue was reported by checkpatch. A simplified version of the semantic patch that makes this change is as follows (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/): // <smpl> @@ identifier i; declarer name DEFINE_PCI_DEVICE_TABLE; initializer z; @@ - DEFINE_PCI_DEVICE_TABLE(i) + const struct pci_device_id i[] = z; // </smpl> [bhelgaas: add semantic patch] Signed-off-by: Benoit Taine <benoit.taine@lip6.fr> Signed-off-by: Bjorn Helgaas <bhelgaas@google.com>

DMA-API: net: intel/ixgb: fix 32-bit DMA mask handling The fallback to 32-bit DMA mask is rather odd: err = dma_set_mask(&pdev->dev, DMA_BIT_MASK(64)); if (!err) { err = dma_set_coherent_mask(&pdev->dev, DMA_BIT_MASK(64)); if (!err) pci_using_dac = 1; } else { err = dma_set_mask(&pdev->dev, DMA_BIT_MASK(32)); if (err) { err = dma_set_coherent_mask(&pdev->dev, DMA_BIT_MASK(32)); if (err) { pr_err("No usable DMA configuration, aborting\n"); goto err_dma_mask; } } } This means we only set the coherent DMA mask in the fallback path if the DMA mask set failed, which is silly. This fixes it to set the coherent DMA mask only if dma_set_mask() succeeded, and to error out if either fails. drivers:net: Convert dma_alloc_coherent(...__GFP_ZERO) to dma_zalloc_coherent __GFP_ZERO is an uncommon flag and perhaps is better not used. static inline dma_zalloc_coherent exists so convert the uses of dma_alloc_coherent with __GFP_ZERO to the more common kernel style with zalloc. Remove memset from the static inline dma_zalloc_coherent and add just one use of __GFP_ZERO instead. Trivially reduces the size of the existing uses of dma_zalloc_coherent.
