nvidiafb: prevent triggering of softlockup If the chip locks up, we get into a long polling loop, where the softlockup detector kicks in. See https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=151878 for an example. [adaplas] Chip lockup can occur at 3 points (flush, sync, and wait). Consolidate and allow the driver to go to safe mode cleanly. [PATCH] nvidiafb: add suspend and resume hooks Add suspend and resume hooks to make software suspend more reliable. Resuming from standby should generally work. Resuming from mem and from disk requires that the GPU is disabled. Adding these to the suspend script... fbset -accel false -a /* suspend here */ fbset -accel true -a ... should generally work. In addition, resuming from mem requires that the video card has to be POSTed by the BIOS or some other utility. Linux-2.6.12-rc2 Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
